AI Transparency & Logic Disclosure

Our proprietary system, the “Ally Engine,” automates the process of connecting Members with Allies.

• The Inputs: The system analyzes data points provided during your onboarding, including your professional industry, career stage, specific skill-gap priorities, and availability.
• The Matching Logic: Our algorithm assigns weighted scores to potential connections based on compatibility based on the accuracy of your onboarding information.
• The Output: The system generates a curated list of ten (10) “Matches” per month. This decision is automated to ensure speed and to remove human bias from the initial selection process.

Algorithmic Fairness: EWIS+ Ally performs periodic internal reviews of the “Ally Engine” matching logic to identify and mitigate unintended algorithmic bias. These audits ensure that matches are generated based strictly on professional criteria, career stage, and user-defined priorities, rather than protected characteristics.

We utilize enterprise-tier Large Language Models (LLMs) to power our “Ally Chat” and preparation modules.

• Role of AI: The AI acts as a facilitator, helping you draft questions and structure your conversation with your Ally.
• Data Privacy: Your interactions with the AI are processed through secure, enterprise-grade APIs. We do not allow our third-party AI providers to use your personal conversations to train their public foundational models.

We use ADMT because manual matching for thousands of STEAM+ professionals would be prohibitively slow and prone to human error or unconscious bias. Automation allows us to provide a near-instant, data-driven “Full Cycle” experience that scales with our community.

Because the EWIS+ Ally platform is built on 100% automated matching to ensure scale, speed, and objective allyship connections, the use of this technology is a core requirement of the Service.

• Acknowledgment of Automated Processing: By using the Service, you acknowledge that your matches are generated entirely by automated systems. There is no manual or human-led matching alternative available at the time of initial introduction.
• The Right to Request Review: If you receive a match that you believe was generated through a technical error or a failure of our logic, you have the right to request a human review of that specific decision. Our team will investigate the automated output to ensure it aligns with our quality standards.
• The Right to Appeal: In accordance with 2026 California ADMT regulations, you have the right to a human review of any “significant automated decision.” While this primarily covers match eligibility and credit reinstatements (See ToS Section 3.2), it also extends to any automated account suspensions or denials of Service access. If you believe an automated decision was flawed, you may submit a formal appeal for manual investigation.

To ensure a safe environment, we use automated tools to monitor chat transcripts for violations of our Code of Conduct. While this process is automated, any flagged “Zero Tolerance” violations are reviewed by a human member of the EWIS+ Ally Trust & Safety team before any account action is taken.
